SEQ Series 2011

What a magical couple of rounds of beach volleyball it has been this year for the 2011 SEQ series.

We had an amazing response this year from all clubs and would like to thank all competitors and spectators that came to the rounds to support their clubs.

With 3 rounds of Beach Volleyball it was always going to be close with each club winning games and sets to go towards a final total score. After the first round there was only a couple sets seperating the clubs and by the end of round 3 it was the closest it has ever been since the competition started.

A big congratulations to Nambour for taking it out this year winning by only 2 sets. BCIS and GoldCoast coming a tie for second.

We now look towards 2012 and getting our players in shape for the next series to bring back the trophy!

Well done to our teams that won their finals and to everyone for playing all their games and travelling so far to the different venues.

Although the club name has changed to the BCIS vikings, the heart and spirit that used to be still exists. A big thankyou to Gilly and Todd for organising players for such a great event.
