Brisbane City Indoor Sports goes loco for Brazilian Soccer

One of Australia’s largest and most innovative indoor sporting complexes, Brisbane City Indoor Sports welcomes the latest international sporting sensation the Brazilian Soccer School, offering sport loving children the special techniques of Futebol de Salão every night of the week at the new premier facility, 117 Mina Parade, Newmarket.

The Brazilian soccer techniques taught at Brisbane City Indoor Sports focus on helping primary age school children with the basics of creative soccer, focusing on ball control and dribbling in a fun environment, enhancing children’s sporting performance.

With the backing of world class Brazilian International soccer player Juninho, the coaching process encourages children to spend longer working with the ball, practicing and developing their skills with particular attention to 3 key elements originating from Brazil including Futebol de Salão, emphasis on individual skills and increased time training.

The Brazilian Soccer School will join an impressive line up of indoor sports at the state-of-the-art facility including Netball, Soccer (single/double court), Beach Volleyball, Dodge ball and Cricket which cater for all ages and abilities, from beginners to advanced competitions.

Brisbane City Indoor Sports Director Todd Forrest said the introduction of the Brazilian Soccer School at the sporting centre was really exciting and gave children the opportunity to fully develop their technical skills in a fun, safe environment.

“The schooling is important as children will become accomplished at performing key skills first as individuals, from passing the ball in a straight line through to amazing juggling skills” Mr Forrest said.

“This will establish a solid grounding of skills for when they eventually want to put their practice into play with programs like Brisbane City Indoor Sports fast-paced indoor soccer” he said.

Just 6 minutes from Brisbane’s CBD, easy access to the Inner City Bypass and Bruce highway, public transport via the Newmarket train station only 200 metres away and substantial onsite parking, the location is ideally positioned for both the suburban and inner-city community.

Brisbane City Indoor Sports is currently accepting both team and individual registrations for indoor Netball, Soccer, Beach Volleyball, Dodge Ball, Cricket, Junior Soccer, Junior Beach Volleyball, Junior Netball and Daytime Netball.

The Brazilian Soccer School will practice at Brisbane City Indoor Sports every night of the week beginning in January 2011. For information regarding Brisbane City Indoor Sports or to register interested teams and individuals please phone 3856 4194
