What a magical couple of rounds of beach volleyball it has been this year for the 2011 SEQ series.

We had an amazing response this year from all clubs and would like to thank all competitors and spectators that came to the rounds to support their clubs.

Brisbane City Indoor Rewind

a blast to the not so distant past

Its amazing to think that BrisCity Indoor Sports is only 6 months old!

Yet here we are and it has been a memorable journey to say the least

The first stage of building a sports centre is to find a suitable location that is big enough and accessible enough for people to play sports inside. Indoor Sports centres need to be big! This is to cater for the many sports played and also the many people that attend such a location.

Corporate Games Winners!

The BCIS Beach Volleyball Team takes out the Queensland Corporate Games Final

With a very large 36 team field, it was always going to be a very tough and enjoyable day for Beach Volleyball.

The BCIS team Craig Gillett, Catherine Pritchard, Gary Cope, Paula De, Claire Battle and Martin Scott, went straight through the first days play to reach the final against rival teams ERM.

Brisbane City Indoor Sports at Newmarket is a custom built facility that brings beach volleyball indoors. The centre is the only one of its kind in Queensland and enables elite and social players to hit the sand regardless of the weather.

Brisbane City Indoor Sports goes loco for Brazilian Soccer

One of Australia’s largest and most innovative indoor sporting complexes, Brisbane City Indoor Sports welcomes the latest international sporting sensation the Brazilian Soccer School, offering sport loving children the special techniques of Futebol de Salão every night of the week at the new premier facility, 117 Mina Parade, Newmarket.

The Brazilian soccer techniques taught at Brisbane City Indoor Sports focus on helping primary age school children with the basics of creative soccer, focusing on ball control and dribbling in a fun environment, enhancing children’s sporting performance.

With Eric at the helm of team co-ordination, BCIS looks to grow fast

Brisbane City Indoor Sports have recruited Brisbane's most recognised & experienced Indoor Soccer coordinator to take care of the growing Sports leagues at BCIS.

There are already over 300 teams started for the new season and spots are running out fast, so hurry to get your team nomination in.

Rexona commercial @ Brisbane City Indoor Sports

Shooting for the new Rexona commercial has taken place at Brisbane City Indoor Sports last week with news that Ricky Ponting was starring in the commercial.

Unfortunately Ricky could not attend the commercial shoot with cricket commitments but the show must go on and filming went ahead as scheduled.

Stars come out at Christmas Party

All the stars came out at this years BCIS Christmas party. There where all sorts of costumes with the likes of, Buzz Lightyear, Lara Crofts, Darth Vader, Wallie, Wilson the ball and many more.

A big Thankyou to everyone that came to celebrate our first christmas at the centre and look forward to a great new year.

Lions Great takes on BCIS Owners at Beach

After the successful opening of BCIS, the word has spread quickly of Brisbane's brand new premiere centre. Not only are we meeting great new teams and people, but the media is also interested in what BCIS has to offer.

To showcase the new facilities and the great sports we play, Richard Champion - former Brisbane Lions ruckman and all round legend and Todd Forrest - ex-world tour competitor and co-founder of BCIS took on the likes of Craig Gillett, current Australian National Tour representative and co-founder of BCIS, paired with Adam Blackburn - Australian National Tour representative.
